Outsourcing is robbing us of middle class jobs such as law clerks, x-ray reading, accounting, bookkeeping?

When will congress stop this outsourcing and protect the working people trying to pay mortgages and tuition for our children? Do they even care an iota or are they taking the $$ and running? Wyeth ( where I worked) just outsourced the entire 37 job law department so all those nice middle class jobs are gone!!

It’s cheaper. Unfortunately, it’s that simple. Outsourcing won’t stop, it will just increase. The government will never stop it, but they will keep blaming us for it. Cathrine K

And we’ve outsourced all the unskilled/semi-skilled labor jobs to illegal aliens, so what’s your point? Yo it’s Me

Don’t sound so surprised. This is merely a continuation of the type of outsourcing of our manufacturing jobs that has been occurring for over 30 years. Just produce your stuff at a lower price than everyone else in the world or do something that can’t be outsourced as easily, like picking up trash, panhandling at street corners, or become a politician (they don’t seem to mind yet the changes in the job market. It is an inevitable consequence of achieveing a global free market. The good news is, the negative effects will be temporary. As poorer countries develop (due to the new jobs being created there), there will eventually be a demand for services in those countries that equals our demand here. Once those develpong economies catch up with ours, outsourcing will work both ways. pikayooperdave

Oh thanks for just bringing that up. We were trying to make a payment by phone to our credit card company the other day and I kid you not we had to call 4 different times to speak to someone who could speak English well enough to understand what we sere trying to do. For sure their customer relations are outsourced overseas somewhere and it was in the middle of the night in their country! Very frustrating!!!! Sorry no answer but I understand! andrea b

It’s not just congress. That’s life. Have you ever read “The 4 Hour Work Week”? There’s an entire chapter focused on how to Outsource your entire life. If you name it, you can outsource it.. You can have a personal secretary for $6.00 an hour who doesn’t even live on this continent. It’s becoming a widely accepted way of life for a lot of people. Señor Answerrrrr
