Outsourcing is a hot topic, but no one is paying attention to the black market regions. If drug traffickers stopped the trade to America, how would our economy be affected?
Hypothetically speaking… if our illegal drug supplies were no longer products of another country what would the outcome be?

simple. local govts would lose a TON of revenue for drug violations. SpiderDijon

It’s hard to gauge something like that. My hypothesis is that the effect would be positive. Instead of using money to buy/sell drugs, the money would go to buying other goods and services that are legal creating legal wealth and more tax revenue for the government. Many billions of dollars that go to fight the import and sale of drugs would go into different programs. aol_sucks_but_im

Wars are money makers, and the war on drugs is no different. Our economy would be fine, but our courts would be crying all the way to the banks. As far the drug traffickers are concerned, who cares about their well being anyhow? Patty Ann Daily

Well, we would never really need to stop outsourcing drugs anyways. Since drugs are illegal in the U.S, it’s an unspoken topic. Since the government wouldn’t regulate the black market than the black market would not stop outsourcing. It would control itself… Wherever it is cheapest and easiest to produce mass quantities of drugs. ToyMechQM
